OK. i heard my lecture today talking about colostrum that it a milk like substance that is yellow in color which provides the baby with antibodies which will fight against diseases. so it is very important to breast feed.

Breast feeding for the first two weeks is what's best, after that you can switch to formula or continue breastfeeding. The first 2 weeks of breastfeeding is where the baby gets truly what they need.
