Do you agree with Locke's philosophy "...that the contract between ruler and ruled could not limit the individual's natural entitlement to enjoy life, political equality, and the ownership of property." Or, do you agree with Hobbes that there is never any right to overthrow a government, because that government - no matter how bad it is - is at least preventing anarchy and "the war of all against all."

Locke's philosophy was illustrated recently in Ukraine. And every two years in the United States. Hobbes' idea goes better with Mussolini supporters who reasoned that at least the trains run on time. I'll take my chances with Locke.
