How could Benjamin Franklin's Albany Plan of Union have solved some of the problems leading up to the French and Indian war? The plan could have united the colonies to better defend against the French. The plan could have divided trapping territories equally among the Europeans. The plan could have given the colonies the power to create their own military. The plan could have allowed Spain to triple its land holdings in the New World.
