Is anybody else having problems with their notifications? My notifications won't show up until after I open a new tab. This means if somebody needs help, or replies to a question, I win't know right away.

You're not the only one.  I'm having problems with my notifactions too & also messages, and like many other people have said, this is the orange war and it'll be fixed soon. [:
