ratio of rise to run is
 rise
----
 run

for the blue triangle, that would be
 rise      4-(-3)        7
---- = ------- = --
 run       3 - 0         3

rise is how much it goes up
run is how much is goes to the side

if you did the dilation right, then the ratios should be the same for the red triangle :)
