question about partials x(u,v) and t(u,v) so dx= (dx/du)du + (dx/dv)dv and the same sort of thing for dt I am evaluating (dx)^2 and (dt)^2 and I am unsure about the cross term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the the cross term for dx^2 is (dx/du)(dx/dv)(du)(dv) does that just cancel out to dx^2 ?

nvm i know that can't be right
