factor -2x^3-10x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

−2x^2(x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would the zeros be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know -5, but what do we do with the -2x^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x^3-10x^2 should be the answer

OpenStudy (nikato):

Factor out a -2x^2 so u get -2x^2(x+5) And I guess ur assuming it equals zero So -2x^2(x+5)=0 So -2x^2=0. Or x+5=0 So x=0 or -5
