what is the conjugate of 10 - 5i ? A. 5-10i B. 10+5i C. -10-5i D. -10+5i

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

We will call the conjugate od a complex number, to the simmetric vector, obtained by drawing a imaginary line parallel to the real axis. So, let's say we have a complex number, composed by two variables: \[a+bi\] The only way I will attain such symmetry is by changing the imaginary component to the opposite (I will not say negative, because we're talking about vectors). So, the conjugate is then: \[a-bi\] I enlighted the room to the solution, now step foward by applying it to the problem.
