Tyree sold t-shirts for a Math Club fundraiser. During the first week, he sold 6 t-shirts, which was thirty percent of his inventory. How many t-shirts were in his inventory? a.9 b. eighteen c. twenty d. fifty

OpenStudy (rational):

6 t-shirts = 30 %

OpenStudy (rational):

that means, 2 t-shirts = 10%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (rational):

that also means, 2*10 t-shirts = 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 20

OpenStudy (rational):

20 is \(\large \color{red}{\checkmark}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just said that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think D because that means every 6 shirts is 30% but I am also not good at math so I may be wrong

OpenStudy (rational):

30% of 50 is 15, not 6. so D is incorrect :)
