Find the slope of the line passing through points A(1, -2), F(4, -8). 2 -2 ½ -1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope formula is y2-y1/x2-x1 The coordinates of point A will be (x1, y1), and the coordinates of point F will be (x2, y2) Plug in your coordinates (-8--2)/(4-1) When you subtract a negative, it is the same thing as adding a positive, so now you have -6/3 = -2

thats a good way to explain it XD
