What are the discontinuities of the function f(x)= (x^2+5x+6)/(2x+16) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)is discontinuous where it does not exist or find the values whee denominator is 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but wouldn't i have to cancel out the the numbers that are the same? i tried to solve it but i couldn't cancel anything out because the numbers are different.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thee is nothing you can cancel. 2x+16=0 x=-8 it is discontinuous at x=-8
