convert 447 mb to gb

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf 447\cancel{mb}\cdot \cfrac{1gb}{1024\cancel{mb}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its only 1 gb?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yes

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm? what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah coolness thanks

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

if you multiply the fractions what do you get?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

or I should say, if you multiply 447mb by the converting unit fraction, what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well im downloading my pics to a disc so i can completely restart my computer and it said 447 mb and i have 4 gb on the disc so i was just curious on how much that would take up.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

heheh

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, there are 1024 mbs in 1gb so 447mbs is about 1/8 of 4gb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you. :-) oh and do you know if i restart my computer completely like a brand new computer will it take away all of my favorites on youtube?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

447GB = 0.436523GB

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

47GB = 0.436523GB ^ m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lol that was a mistake 447MB

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

@kitty_love why are you restarting the machine like a "new computer"? did you restore? or reImage it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i just want it to be faster and clean.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well if you want to keep your bookmarks .... check your User Account folder there's a folder for Application Data, that folder has pretty much most settings for most installed apps, including browsers bookmarks

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

bookmarks = so-called favorites

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wrote down all my bookmarks already im just worried itll take all of my stuff off youtube.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

depending on what you're doing, yes it is likely it'll wipe the user's account folder and its data

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well crap. alright thanks

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

have you started yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i havent. not yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):
