A 15.0 kg box (m1) rests on a table. Figure 4-35 (a) What is the weight of the box? Incorrect: Your answer is incorrect. N What is the normal force acting on it? N (upward) (b) A 14.0 kg box (m2) is placed on top of the 15.0 kg box, as shown in Fig. 4-35. Determine the normal force that the table exerts on the 15.0 kg box. N (upward) Determine the normal force that the 15.0 kg box exerts on the 14.0 kg box. N (upward)

A 15kg box is a rest what is its weight? weight =mass*gravity 15kg*9.81 see what unity you need!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the normal force. If the table is horizontal the normal force is just the weight. if this table is angled use geometry (triangles) to find the force that is perpendicular to the table.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The normal force will push back the same as it is being pushed agents. total mass* gravity 29 kg*9.81m/ss Keep units in mind you probably have convert everything to grams 1kg=1000g

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last one 14kg*9.81m/ss It is like the 15kg box is now the table.
