Can anyone help me with this biology question. It doesn't make sense to me?

this is what I found....

There is this "Tree of Life" wherein the ancestral lineage of species are, let's say, "plotted." Given that, where would you "plot" the ancestor of the 2 species being tested, with the fact that after their hemoglobin are compared, 3 locations in their protein chain revealed different amino acids.
