Write and solve an equation to determine how many flowers they will need to sell to make a profit of $500. Use complete sentences to explain what each number and variable in your equation represents. Write your solution in the context of the original problem.

Well each flower cost .50 to purchase so .50f They sell each flower at 40% more than that so .50 + (.50 x .40) And they want to make a profit of 500 or more...so greater than or equal to 500 .50f + (.50f x .40) - .50f >= 500 Now just solve for 'f'
