What was President Kennedy's reason for initiating U.S. military involvement in Vietnam? (4 points) to protect French possessions in Indochina to reunify North and South Vietnam as a democratic nation to prevent the Vietcong from overthrowing the South Vietnamese government to stop North Vietnam from spreading communism to Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand

I'm not that great with history, but I think it was to stop the spread of communism. The fear was that if one country fell to communism, then others would fall in a domino effect (making things worse for capitalists).
Hey thank you for not being great at history that is a pretty good answer haha
you're welcome
I believe it was actually C - to prevent the Vietcong from overthrowing the South Vietnamese government
