One student designed an experiment to demonstrate the formation of a geologic feature. The steps of the experiment are listed below. Use glue to attach several pieces of rock on a paper plate. Cover the rocks completely with sand. Tilt the plate slightly and pour water on the rocks. Observe the sand being carried away to the edge of the plate. Which of these geologic features was created by the process demonstrated by the student's experiment? the Big Island of Hawaii the Grand Canyon the Himalayan mountain range the Sierra Nevada Mountains
@wolfe8 please help
What do you think? What has sand around the edges washed from the center?
1st one?
@wolfe8
Sorry I would have been more specific. So the phenomena is that you have rocks covered in sand and then the rain washes the sane away to the sides.So all you have left are rocks in the center. Beaches on islands are formed when sand is carried by the sea and deposited on the shore.
