How do I do parolellogram proofs.

The given pairs of angles which are given to be equal are actually alternate angles. And alternate angles are equal then the two lines related to them are parallel. Use this to solve your question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the opposite interior angles were congruent, so you can use that to show opposite sides of parallel lines.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry alternative interior angles*

I get that the alternate angels are equal but I have no idea what a 2 column proof is or how to type it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, in a two column proof there are two columns. A statement column and a reason column. The first row will always contain the given info, which in this case is <JKN is congruent to <LMN and <LKN is congruent to <JMN. Next, you start proving. It doesn't really matter which order you do it as long as each statement leads to a later one. I'll try to get you started: |dw:1393723888075:dw|

Thank you! I have never seen this before, had no idea what do. Ha
