I have a graph of a cosine function which is ..

v = 170 cos (120pi*t)... and the answer in the book shows it graphed as the two maximum values at these two "t" values. But My question is somewhat simpler, which is, why is the notation decreasing from 1/60 to 1/30 cycle/sec as the function completes more cycles, wouldn't it become 1/120 or 1/240? i'm confused...
