I need help with this pls: 1. A box contains 10 items, of which 3 are defective and 7 are non-defective. Two items are randomly selected, one at a time, with replacement, and x is the number of defectives in the sample of two. Explain why x is a binomial random variable. 2. You have been asked to do a survey of student satisfaction with MyMathLab courses at a community college. Describe how you would obtain a sample of these types: stratified and simple random.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

1. The sampling result x is a random variable with a binomial distribution for the following reasons: a) There is a fixed number of trials. b) Each trial is independent of the other. c) Each trial has a constant probability of success. d) There are only two possible outcomes, defective or non-defective in this case.
