y= e^x2 dy/dx= ?

OpenStudy (alekos):

if dy/dx for e^x is e^x then dy/dx for e^(x^2) is as above but you have to multiply this result by dy/dx of (x^2)

OpenStudy (alekos):

this is the "chain rule" if f(x) = h(g(x)) then f'(x) = h'(x).g'(x)
