9m2 − 81n2

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

is that: 9m^2 − 81n^2 or just 9m2 − 81n2

I'm sorry I haven't used this site before and I'm quite tired now lol. I meant to put it into the search bar, I'm meant to factorise 9m2 − 81n2 I do understand the basics for example I've just finished x^2-x-42 but this blows my mind.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

so...im guessing its squared.

Blank to be honest, I'm very poor at maths.

Thankyou

I couldn't quite make sense of that site in the end I accidentally had a ureka moment instead. 9m^2 − 81n^2=(3m+9N)(3m-9n) Because 3^2 is 9 and 9^2 is 81 then of course 2 m's = m^2 and so on. Thankyou for your help though.
