I'm writing a romance book and I wanted to know how do I start off... Like what to say in the beginning, Because I'm totally confused.. Please help. Thanks

OpenStudy (april115):

You can start off with an introduction or a dedication

OpenStudy (bibby):

Imitate your favorite books. Research common introductions.

OpenStudy (april115):

I have an example hold on

I have a very common romantic book by Judy Blume and the book is called Forever... it's about a senior in high school named katherine and she meets this guy named Michael and they start dating and fall in love and they involve sexual stuff in their relationship. Now the Introduction the author wrote was: '' when I wrote forever.... in the mid-seventies, sexual responsibility meant preventing unwanted pregnancy. Today, sexual responsibility also means preventing sexually transmitted infections (STI's) including a potentially fatal one- HIV/AIDS. In the book katherine visits a clinic and is given a prescription for the Pill. Today, she would be told it is essential to use a latex condom, along with any other method.'' and so on.

OpenStudy (april115):

since the book talks about sexual things in the relationship she wrote a introduction for the readers who are sexual active so they can think twice before doing anything and I think the introduction went well for the book she wrote. If you want to see the rest go to http://www.Barnes&Noble.com and type in the search bar forever by judy blume and you can read the rest. so that's how you can start off with your romance book :)

OpenStudy (forevershorty):

wait. intro like what April said or like introduction as in like the first chapter or like prologue or whatever?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you xDDD that was very helpful

OpenStudy (forevershorty):

^^ that answers my question

OpenStudy (april115):
