can someone please verify my answer to make sure I am doing this correctly I need to find the area of my outline I think I did this right but I would love some guidance thank you very much
So far I have 1by 3 1 times 3=3 2 x 1.5 x 2.5=7.5 7.5+3=10.5 so the final answer is 10.5 and then I have 2 (1 1/5)(2 1/2)=2(1.5)(2.5)
after that I am stuck but I would love someone to please help me so I can know what I am doing and to get my final answer
does e g h and other points have some values or we take them from the drawing
do *
I'm sorry I forgot to list the points one second I will
c=(2,1) D=(8,1) E=(2,2.1) F=(8,2.1) G=(4.5,2.1) H=(5.6,2.1) I=(4.5,5.1) J=(5.6,5.1)
cool we can divide the area to 2 areas 1 : ijhg 2 : eghpdce
to get any distance between two points we use \[d=\sqrt{(y1-y0)^{2}+(x1-x0)^{2}}\]
am i right soo far
I think you are but I'm not 100% sure myself because I get confused on this subject I think it's actually d= x2-x1^2+y2-y1^2 and where are you getting eghjpdce? :o
@esamalaa check the formula is it correct ?
thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me I appreciate it a lot I just really need to understand this
it is okay just hope we end it well :)
http://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/distance-2-points.html u missed the square root only
Awesome so I was right(: so now how do we go about the problem? because I am still confused on when you said eghjpdce
