Why is the cognitive theory so popular today? (10 points)

I truly believe it is because many people don't all fall into the "see the psychologist section". The space before someone has completely foregone good decision making has become of interest because (in my opinion) addressing the issues which potentially have the opportunity to be reversed are in closer to reach. Some people have not been either taught or exposed to good reasoning. Some people have lost their way and need help getting back into the flow of things. Cognitive theory helps open the mind and examine points where a repetitional flow of information can be applied to certain areas of focus pertaining to brain function. Cognitive theory gives room for more exploration into the brain connections that are intact but need help in redevelopment, restructuring, or growth.
