The sophomore class at a high school raised $800 from the sale of tickets to a dance. Tickets sold for $1.50 in advance and $2 at the door. If a total of 475 tickets were sold, what was the number of tickets sold at the door? Write a system of equations that will let you solve this problem. Be sure to represent your variables. PLEASE HELP!

So lets begin by setting up your equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We know that in total we raised $800

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we will set up an equation with regard to the amount of money made

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we know that we sold x amount of ticket in advance for $1.50
