What is the image of point Q(3, 5,- 4) after it is reflected about the yz-plane? (Points : 1) Q´(-3, 5, 4) Q´(3, -5,- 4) Q´-(3, 5,- 4) Q´(3, 5, 4) ******is the last one the correct answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I think it's the second one, the yz plane is when x = 0. Just imagine that and then do a reflection

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay and what about this one If point A(1, -3, 4) is reflected about the xz-plane, what are the coordinates of that reflection? (Points : 1) A´(1, 3, 4) A´(1, -3,- 4) A´(-1, -3, 4) A´(-1, 3, -4) @greenleaf800073

Ah, woah, I messed up (facepalm) lol, nvm, the first one is the third answer For this second one, it is the first one Think of it as this way, what ever variable is missing in the definition, then that variable will change. For example: yz-plane, there's no x in that word, so the x coordinate will get reflected, etc.

okay thanks
