How does protest of our society relate to Fahrenheit 451?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

To protest is to be against something to the extent where you take actions. Now, in Fahrenheit 451, that was the guy living outside of societies norms. In modern society it is usually different. However, can you think of one large group that is very much against the government and has take to very unconventional protests in doing so?
