The rule for multiplying binomials is FOIL: First, Outer, Inner, Last. This means you multiply the first terms of each binomial together first, then the outer terms, then the inner, then the last terms of eah binomial, then you add your multiplied terms together to get the result. In this case, it would be a*a, First, then a*-2, Outer, then 3*a, Inner, then 3*-2, Last. a^2 - 2a + 3a - 6 simplifies to a^2 + a - 6. And that's your answer :)
