1) Write the rate of travel as a fraction:\[\frac{ 42 km }{15 \min }\] and then multiply that by the appropriate conversion factor to convert "minutes" to "hours." The result is the rate of speed at which the car travels, in km/hour. 2) Multiply this rate by 3 hours; simplify the result. The result is the answer you wanted.
