PLEASE HELP?!?! MEDAL/FAN For Compound Interest: In A(t) = p(1 + r/t)^nt do you simplify the r/t?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I created my equation, and for the r/t part, I got 3/12, so would it be 1/4? would you just leave it?

It does not matter if it is 3/12 or 1/4 because you want to put it in decimal form, which is 0.25
