The distance between A (-4, 2) and B(4, 2) is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kavin_pitre distance between two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is determined by \[\sqrt{(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the formula is confusing, you can step thru it as: subtract one point from the other; then square, add, sqrt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 4 /6/ or 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because each time i do it i get none of the options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, um, since the y parts are the same ... its just the distance from -4 to 4
