The sun was just rising when Oscar decided to go on his run. The humid air was so thick and wet that Oscar had trouble breathing at times. Oscar was training to run the city marathon at the end of the month. However, anticipation for the upcoming race was eating at him, and he needed to run. The marathon was going to be a tough 26-mile run within the city. The running route took runners up and down hilly streets and across the river. Oscar’s goal was to finish the race, so he needed to run.
With each running stride, Oscar breathed in and out deeply. His chest and legs began to burn at the end of six miles, but he continued on. Oscar did not want to stop before he completed his eight miles. At the end of his run, Oscar gulped down some water to quench his thirst. After Oscar drank his fill of water, he felt great. He could not wait for the marathon.
