Please help! Finding Distance : Find the distance from A to C. 12 74 Square root of 74 6
I think it should be the square root of 74. Am I correct?
Gives me "Bad request" :(
GOt it!
cool
what are the coordinates for point A and C ?
i already got to 7^2 + 5^2 - c^2
74= c^2
Way 1: Distance formula \[\huge\color{blue}{ d=\sqrt{(y_1-y_2)^2+(x_1-x_2)^2} }\] plug in your points A (-2,4) C (3,-3) Way 2: draw a right triangle, Drawing point B that would be (-2,-3) and using the Pythagorean a^2+b^2=c^2
i just dont know what to do next
square both sides 74 and c^2
notice the coordinates for point A and C, thus \(\bf \textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\ \begin{array}{lllll} &x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\ A&({\color{red}{ -2}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 4}})\quad &({\color{red}{ 3}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ -3}}) \end{array}\qquad d = \sqrt{({\color{red}{ x_2}}-{\color{red}{ x_1}})^2 + ({\color{blue}{ y_2}}-{\color{blue}{ y_1}})^2}\)
solomon look at what i posted above :)
8.6
yes. And looking at what you posted above I gave you the medal :)
oh, u mean i got it right?1
