Most people in the United States use feet and miles to measure distance in their everyday lives. Why do scientists in the United States use meters to measure distance?

Haha, yeah, I guess any science works!

Fun fact:  The failed Mars Rover mission was a unit issue. Two teams worked on the project, and they used different units. So the numbers weren't consistent in its software.
