Welcome to Open Study and yhh.. i think its 'active transport'.

OpenStudy (kayne):

Welcome to OS @hannahlead! Well, you have passive and active transport. The passive one is spontaneous and requires no input of energy - it just moves down a concentration gradient. On the other hand, the active transport requires an input of energy as the name suggests. It has to overcome sort of a barrier which is the concentration barrier. This is why active transport is defined at the movement of molecules against a concentration gradient which is from a region of low concentration to a region of high concentration.
