I am pretty sure that the answer is 30 degrees.

2x+2x+8x = sum of all angles

sum of all angles in a triangle = 180

so 2x+2x+8x = 180
12x = 180
x = 180/12 = 15

smallest angle = 2x
= 30
so spot on dude

The only thing that I did differently, was staring with 12/180. I didn't do all of the x nonsense.
