A space craft consumes more fuel in going from the earth to the Moon than it takes for a returnship. Comment.

This is a very well known fact. It's because earth's gravity is six times more than the moon's, and also because you have to take the fuel necessary for the return journey with you to the moon and that fuel has mass and therefore weight and so it takes even more fuel to take that fuel to the moon so you can use it to get back. Needless to say thrust to weight ratio is therefore every important to rocket designers.
