Since this is a rhombus, the other angle in the triangle is 90 degrees. So \[90+2x+7+3x+3=180\] SImplifying, we get \[5x=80\] which gives us an answer of\[ x=16\]

ty so much

Glad to help! Does it amke sense why the angle is 90 degrees?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

If you didn't remember that the diagonals of a rhombus intersect at right angles, you could do \[4(2x+7) + 4(3x+3) = 360\] and get the same result.

^yep, that works too! Always lots of ways to solve a problem.
