I'm going to be learning guitar soon.
Any tips or pointers you guys can tell me about?

Don't smash your guitar after playing a song. It looks cool, but afterwards you will realize that the guitar cost a lot of money.

I already HAVE a guitar cx I just am going to learn to play it. But thanks for the tip ;)

I suggest practicing using your less dominate hand (The one you DONT write with) and it's easier to learn a song on a guitar if you are familiar with the beat of it. I would suggest listening to the guitar version (Without the lyrics would be best) so you also have an idea what the song is suppose to sound like when you play it.

And what I mean about using your less dominate hand, is that you want to strengthen it and get use to having control over it.
