triomino help!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Do you possibly mean "trinomial"? No? Then "triangle"?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Would you mind defining "triomino" as you understand it? I have not seen that term before. If "triomino" is a legitimate word, then we both need to understand its meaning before attempting to solve this problem.

I need to find the answer to the puzzle. It's finding a solution with the numbers on the outer part of the triangle and the answer being the number in the middle.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

1) is "triomino" a legitimate word? 2) Have you been able to find any pattern at all that enables you to find the missing number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) Yes 2) No. I have tried things such as (For the first one) 7*2*(-3) but that's not right.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

At first glance I don't see the pattern myself. To get anywhere, both of us are going to have to experiment. I will help as I can, but am already involved in helping several others at the same time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh,okay. During this math lesson, there was only one paragraph mentioning this, but there was a lot involving it in the assessment. I cannot see any pattern either.
