If point (x,y) is reflected over the x-axis, what are the new coordinates

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be (y,x) because it is a reflection?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well when something is reflected over the x-axis...you are changing the y-values to the negative versions of those... ( -2 , 4) Reflected over the x-axis would be ( -2 , -4) |dw:1394030891983:dw| |dw:1394030914823:dw|

oh ok

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So it would actually be (x , -y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get it know

thank you @johnweldon1993
