Well, the behaviour is called refraction. I'm not sure what the question means by theory. Perhaps the options are wave and corpuscular/particle?

Sorry, the behaviour is called diffraction, not refraction, my bad. Anyway, both of these behaviours are either wave-like or particle-like. Here's a picture, if that helps
