300,000 cm is how many km? 3 km 30 km 300 km 3000 km

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start by asking yourself "how many centimeters (cm) in a meter?" then "how many meters in a kilometer (km)?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats 3 km

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 30... don't you guys have calculators on the computer its called a unit conversions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just saying...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not 30, @ShaTay . Which unit conversion calculator did you use?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I keep getting 30... can you explain how you got your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are 100 cm in a meter, so 300,000 cm is 3,000 m. There are 1,000 meters in a km, so 3,000 m / 1000 m-per-km = 3km.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You might have just started with too many zeros on the number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One could also type the expression, "300000cm in km" into Google and it will calculate automatically.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or use one of the web sites and type it in... 30 is the answer on the site... man Im not stupid every time I do this I get 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's why I asked which calculator you used. What web site are you referring to?
