can somebody help a little more with my math? (GOLDZ MEDALSZ!)

OpenStudy (cakt07):

@jennaknight03 @_CaraWells_

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure

OpenStudy (cakt07):

What is 5.61 written as a percent? (i dont need the answer, Just help explain how to get the answer, so i can figure it out please. Thanks!)

OpenStudy (cakt07):

The thing is, idk how to write the decimal as a fraction.

OpenStudy (cakt07):

OH WAIT, okay i think 5.61/1 * 100/100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Move the decimal point two spaces to the right. If you want to convert it back to a decimal you move the decimal point to the left (For example: 0.35 → 3.5 → 35. Add a % sign: 35% Answer 0.35 = 35% )

OpenStudy (cakt07):

O_o okay ill try.

OpenStudy (cakt07):

whats 5.61 times 100?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

561

OpenStudy (cakt07):

okay.

OpenStudy (cakt07):

so i think i put 561/100 then hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't forget to simplify it.

OpenStudy (cakt07):

okay.

OpenStudy (cakt07):

Well im confused

OpenStudy (cakt07):

do i just move the decimal from 5.61 to 561.?

OpenStudy (cakt07):

@_CaraWells_ do i just move 5.61 to 561.?

OpenStudy (cakt07):

then it will be 561%

OpenStudy (cakt07):

OHHHH, i think thats right.

OpenStudy (cakt07):

561%

OpenStudy (cakt07):

i think its the correct answer

OpenStudy (cakt07):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (cakt07):
