Suggestion about smarscore.. The SmartScore thing which you guys have done is amazing, it gets harder and harder to get more and more scores.. but once you get 99 the fun stops.. Is it a lot of overhead to allow any amount of smartscore? You know.. to allow it to be above 100? so that we ll know who has the highest smartscore and the best :D :D.. its just fun .. lemme know what ya guys think!

thomaster (thomaster):

Yea I agree, perhaps the cap should be increased to 200. But the leveling after 100 should be really slow, so there's a good image of who contributes the most to the site. So hard that it would take years to get to 200. Then people will stay motivated to get a high smartscore.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Couldn't have said better myself.. thats exactly what i wanted to say :D :D but is there is need for cap?? i mean i know that you shouldn't allow a number to go out of bounds or something.. but u can program it such a way that its reallllllllllllllllyyyy hard to level up.. almost impossiblee or something..

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

Once you reach 99 though, the fun doesn't end. Your overall smartscore is 99. But you still have to try and get your problem solving, engagement, and teamwork SS to 99 too. which takes a while to do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True.. but i never got that part, how is the total smartscore (which i think is or should be the average of the three) is always way higher than the highest of the three? :P

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I'm not honestly sure. I believe it's because it's just adding each thing you do up at once. I mean look at me, my problem solving is 92. My engagement is 60. And my teamwork is 72. O_o it's a long process.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea .. some code has gone horribly wrong if u ask me :D lol

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

@thomaster explain this confusion D:

OpenStudy (preetha):

Ok, here is a sneak preview. A rumor... we are in the process of designing new reward/awards to take the SmartScore to the next level. We want the medals to mean for something..My lips are sealed. No more....shhhh.

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

:O is all I have to say to that comment..

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

allí have to say is ditto to the comment of the comment :3 if that makes any sense

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

I was thinking an award system for achievements and noticeable skills people might have. I think the max could be around 150, but to make it a bigger challenge 200 is great. :3 And then satellite can keep a 201 with him. >.>

OpenStudy (btaylor):

why does satellite get the 100?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OooOO this is interesting :D :D

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

I want to know about that too. Why is it that only one person can have 100?? @thomaster

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

He was the first.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

I think an indefinite SS would be a good system.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

~Agreed ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go mashy almost 99

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Realy @Preetha. Sound's cool.

OpenStudy (jack1):

@Preetha ... will they become valueable like Bitcoin?

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

I don't think an indefinite SS would actually be motivating..like in any MMORPG when we get our first medal; we are glad, but when we see that some xyz person has xxxxxxxx number of medals, we won't necessarily be motivated :P If the target looks un-achievable, most people wont even try.. As fir making SS system competitive, I'll suggest to make it 'relative' after 99 (or some other pair of digits). But lookin' @ Preetha's comment, I think I should wait for the up-coming design rather than suggesting anything new.. *fingers crossed*

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

lolz @Mashy its for ppl who cares abt smart score do u care abt it hehe

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Seems like Preetha was talking about the new titles for different subjects. Defintitely another thing to try to achieve after a 99 SmartScore and 99 SubScores =P
