Solve for x: x - 2 > 2x + 12

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

subtrct x from both sides: -2 > x + 12 add 2 to both sides: 0 > x + 14 can you continue?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would add 2 to both sides of 0>x+14 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh nevermind. Would I subtract 0 from both sides?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

no subtract 14 from both sides: 0 > x + 14 -14 -14 -14 > x i.e x < -14

Oh okay. Now I get it. Thank you so much!
