The graph below shows two functions. function f of x is a straight line which joins the ordered pairs negative 2.8,16 and 3.5, negative 2.5. Function g of x is a curved line which joins the ordered pairs negative 1.9, 13.5 and 2.6, 0 Based on the graph, what are the approximate solutions to the equation –3x + 8 = (0.25)x? 1.9 and –2.6 8 and 2.6 1 and 2.6 –1.9 and 2.6

I'm not sure I understand the question. There are two functions, one linear, the other not, and each has two solutions given, and then the equation is meant to be an equivalent system representing f=g?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says that function g is curved. (0.25)x does not represent a curved line.

Instead of this question could you help me out on another?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, I have to leave now to get to my job. Reread the question to make sure you have all the parts of it. I think some information is missing. Given the points on function f. -3x+8 is only an approximation to f. I'm not sure what g looks like . . .

I see the problem it did it again it wrote x instead of ^x but thank you anyway
