If f(x) = log3 (x + 1), what is f−1(2)?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

I'm assuming you know how to get an inverse relation of a function? by swapping about the variables, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried it out and i found the inverse is 3x-1=y is it right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean 3^x-1

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap, then just plug in "2" for it to get \(\bf f^{-1}(2)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you!!

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
