There is an even better trick to enlarging your essay w/o changing the font, and I've had to use this many times for history thesis reports that the teacher wanted to be 6+ pages long. What you do is go to "Find and Replace" (I believe it is Ctrl + h on Word) and then you put in a period (".") in the find box. In the replace box, you will put a period too, but it must be in one font bigger (if you are using 12 font, this period would be in 14 font ....) Then hit replace all, and presto, like half a page added to your paper (in double space)
